Forms of Movement, 2018

Designer

Oki Sato

In collaboration with several Japanese companies specialized in the production and application of innovative materials and new technologies, Nendo’s solo exhibition presents ten concepts based on the idea of movement, emerging from the function of the object, the material, or the production method. Each concept is defined by the delicacy of the materials and a meticulous attention to technical precision in manufacturing.

The exhibition showcases not only the final products, but also models and mock-ups of each project, sharing with visitors both the production dimension and Nendo’s creative process. Among the ten works on display are jewelry cases generated from the cut of a spherical form, soft-looking furnishings made of polycarbonate sheets, tables in which lines and surfaces merge, and tiles where a specific manual printing process makes the idea of movement visible.
