Since its first participation in 2005, Lexus has created compelling and immersive experiences, collaborating with leading talents such as Philippe Nigro, Neri Oxman, Sou Fujimoto, and Rhizomatics. This year, it presents Sparks of Tomorrow, a trio of human-centered explorations oriented toward the future.

ON/ is an immersive installation created by award-winning architect and designer Germane Barnes in collaboration with the lighting studio Aqua Creations. A three-dimensional sculptural interpretation of the RZ, it offers an elegant physical embodiment of electricity. The work delivers a visually dynamic and interactive experience within a welcoming space designed for recharging and reflection.

The six finalists of the Lexus Design Award 2022 present their original solutions for a better tomorrow, interpreting the brand’s three core principles: anticipate, innovate, and engage.

The creative program commissioned by Lexus, “2040: The Soul of Future Premium,” forms the third pillar of the installation and explores how transportation may evolve toward the mid-twenty-first century. The project emerges from a collaboration between Lexus and the designers of tomorrow—the students of the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London, one of the world’s most prestigious and influential institutions for art and design research and education.
