The Korea Craft & Design Foundation (KCDF), promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, presents the works of 23 Korean artists under the theme “Monochrome Monologue” during Milan Design Week 2019.
The exhibitions express Korean sentimentalism through the language of black and white, employing ink and wash painting and its countless tonal nuances that permeate the space. Curated and installed by art director Kuho Jung, the exhibition demonstrates the unification and integration of the arts through the intersection of different genres. It features a spatial configuration that alternates symmetry and asymmetry in black and white, alongside a three-dimensional manifestation of the beauty of emptiness.
The exhibition journey reveals the modernity and immediacy of Korean craftsmanship, highlighting its strong presence within the international art landscape.
